888-Poker hat mehrere Experten gefragt, welche Bücher ihrer Meinung nach in keiner Poker-Bibliothek fehlen dürfen. Dabei herausgekommen ist eine Liste der einflussreichsten Pokerbücher aller Zeiten. Zu den Befragten zählten unter anderem Brian Rast, David Vampley, Dominik Nitsche, Igor Kurganov, Jonathan Little, Kara Scott, Mike McDonald, Nick Petrangelo, Philipp Gruissem, Sorel Mizzi und Tristan Wade.
Aus einer Liste von insgesamt sage und schreibe 129 Büchern wurde durch die Abstimmung von 56 Profspielern ein Ranking der besten Bücher erstellt. Diese verteilen sich auf 59 Plätze – einige Bücher teilen sich Plätze.
Die Top-10 hält dabei wenig Überraschungen und vor allem Standardwerke der letzten 15 Jahre parat. Dan Harringtons Turnierbuch Harrington on Hold'em wurde auf den ersten Platz gewählt, dass inzwischen antike (Erstauflage 1978) Buch von Doyle Brunson, Super System, schaffte es auf den zweiten Platz, Every Hand Revealed von Gus Hansen wurde drittes Buch auf dem Treppchen.
